CENTERVILLE —
The Iowa Artists Annual Area 11 Art Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 16 at the Albia Road Baptist Church, 1601 Albia Road in Ottumwa. The show will be open to all area artists age 18 and older who are members of Iowa Artists. New members may join up to and including the day of the show. The show will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Counties in Area 11 are Appanoose, Davis, Keokuk, Lucas, Mahaska, Marion, Monroe, Wapello and Wayne.
Three works may be entered. Two-dimensional works include paintings, drawings, and printmaking with a maximum dimension of four feet in either direction. Three-dimensional works include ceramics, sculpture, fibers and textiles. All work must be original stemming from the artist’s own experience. No copies in whole or in part, kits or crafts.
First,second, third and honorable mention ribbons will be awarded. One entry will be selected for best of show. First place winners will be eligible to enter their works in a state show to be held at Iowa Central Community College, One Triton Circle, Fort Dodge on May 4.
