CENTERVILLE —
The second annual DCL 5K Run/Walk for Organ and Tissue Donation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 in Moulton.
Registration (for those who have not pre-registered) will begin at 7 a.m. at the Moulton-Udell High School. The Kiddie K Fun Run for children 12 and under will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8 a.m.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and funds for the Iowa Donor Network, while honoring the memory of Dyllan Clay Lawson, who was tragically killed in a car accident last summer.
Last year, nearly 500 people participated in or donated to this event and our small community was able to raise $6,000 for the Donor Network.
The cost to enter will again be $20 per person. This includes the cost of a T-shirt. Children 12 and under may participate for free, or if they wish to have a T-shirt, they can walk for just $10.
