A Unionville, Mo. woman facing multiple criminal charges in Appanoose County had her case adjudicated.
Andrea Lynn Hendee, 32, was sentenced Oct. 26 to two years in state prison, suspended, to two years probation to the court by Judge Kirk A. Daily in the Appanoose County courthouse courtroom for the criminal charge of third degree burglary of an unoccupied vehicle, which is an aggravated misdemeanor. Judge Daily also imposed a fine, but suspended that and he did give her credit for any time served.
Hendee's original charges were fourth degree theft, a serious misdemeanor and two counts of third degree burglary, class D felonies.
Hendee owes the state $100 for this case.
Hendee was not alone in this case and had a male accomplice, Rodney Eugene Long, 37, of Centerville.
Long and Hendee according to a press release issued June 21 by the Centerville Police Department were arrested and charged with multiple criminal violations on June 20 following an investigation started by Centerville police that focused on a reported burglary and theft of personal property from two local motels. During the investigation it was determined that Long and Hendee allegedly entered at least two vehicles and took possession of personal property with a value of approximately $800.
Long, while in custody at the Appanoose County Jail, began complaining of unknown injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Centerville to be examined. At approximately 2:16 p.m., while in the emergency room, Long went into a restroom and was able to escape from custody. By approximately 4:45 p.m. Long was taken into custody in the 22000 block of Rock Valley Road.
Long was sentenced Aug. 3 to five years in state prison, suspended, five years probation with the Department of Correctional Services, 180 days in a residential facility, fine and given credit for any time served for the charge of third degree burglary, a D felony. The same day the court dismissed one count of third degree burglary, one count of fourth degree theft, one count of escape of misdemeanant, two counts of assault on a peace officer and others, one count of fourth degree criminal mischief and three counts of interference with official acts.
Long owes the state $1,536.04.
Long has a previous felony conviction in Appanoose County. In March of 1997 he was found guilty of second degree burglary, a C felony, and was sentenced to 10 years in state prison.
