Centerville Council awards sludge plant contract to low bidder
The Centerville City Council Monday night by a 5-0 vote awarded the East Wastewater Pollution Control Plant sludge processing facilities improvement project to low bidder, Oakview dck, LLC, of Red Oak, in the amount of $1,622,300.

Relay For Life Bank night
Relay For Life Bank Night is on Thursday, May 24 at 5 p.m. at US Bank on the square. Teams are encouraged to bring all money earned thus far to turn in so it can be banked toward their team goals. Luminarias may also be turned in and forms will be available at bank night to purchase them.

Walking Tour around Square Wednesday
Enfys McMurry and Historic Preservation Corporation are celebrating National Historic Month by having a walking tour around the Historic Square District in Centerville Wednesday, May 23 at 1:30 p.m. Meet at Tangleberries on the south side of the Square. The tour is one hour long and then meet back at Tangleberries for tea and scones. Cost is $7 per person including tea and a scone at Tangleberries upon completion of the tour. The tour is entitled: “Centerville – A Mid American Saga – a Tour of the Square (which also is the name of the book Enfys just finished) and it will be out for sale in the fall of 2012. -
