CENTERVILLE —
The Manhattan Ladies Championships were held Saturday, Aug. 27. Jennifer Miller once again captured the championship, putting together rounds of 39-41 for a total of 80. This is the fourth consecutive championship Miller has won. Miller is known for her length off the tee. Second place went to Jolynn Kruzich and third went to Deb Yeoman.
The Manhattan Men’s Champion was decided Sunday, Aug. 21. Big Red golfer Austin Huebner won the championship putting together rounds of 38-37-37 for a 112 total. Huebner, who is an anchor of the Big Red golf team, played consistently the entire tournament separating himself from his closest competition by six shots.
Jeff Yelland finished second at 118 followed closely behind by Alan Huisman and Big Reds golfer Quinton Fowler at 121. There were 30 golfers playing in the men’s tourney, the largest field so far.
