CENTERVILLE —
Southeast Iowans will be able to experience opera when OPERA Iowa’s educational touring troupe visits Indian Hills Community College on Saturday, Feb. 9.
Featuring colorful scenery and costumes, theatrical lighting and musical accompaniment, OPERA Iowa will present a two-hour English version of Gaetano Donizetti’s “The Elixir of Love” at 7:30 p.m. in St. John Auditorium. The performance, sponsored by Indian Hills, is free and open to the public.
OPERA Iowa performs these presentations in an effort to make opera more understandable and more accessible to students and families. The OPERA Iowa troupe has performed in nine states throughout the midwest.
