CENTERVILLE —
Guido L. Pauletti, 85 of Centerville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at The Continental Care Center in Seymour.
Guido was born in Centerville on Dec. 4, 1926 to Joe and Angela Pauletti. He received his education from Centerville High School graduating in 1945. In June of 1955 Guido married Betty Walker at St. Williams Catholic Church in Numa.
Guido was employed by Iowa Southern Utilities and worked in their store room. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Guido loved baseball, enjoyed fishing and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Guido is survived by three sisters; Edie Ronzani of Davenport, Corrine Carollo of Oregon and Albena Brown (Richard) of Davenport; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Pauletti; and three brothers, Marion, Victor and Beno Pauletti. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Angeline Smith and Genevieve Paasno.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Thomas Funeral Home with Fr. William Hubmann officiating. Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 21 at Thomas Funeral Home from 12-6 p.m. Family was present from 4-6 p.m.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, 23548 Highway 5, P.O. Box 125, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
