CENTERVILLE —
Margaret A. Jackson, 77, of Centerville, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at her home in Centerville.
She was born the daughter of Pode and Mary (Ranes) Vestal on Feb. 12, 1935 in Cincinnati. She attended Centerville Community Schools. On Oct. 25, 1953, Margaret was united in marriage to Glen G. Jackson in Centerville. She worked at J&K and Southside Drug for a time and was later the store manager for Casey's General Store in Centerville for over 17 years.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brothers, Charles Vestal and George Vestal; sisters, Kathryn Ray, Wanda Evers, Dorothy Raskie, Norma Ruby and Mary Vestal.
Margaret is survived by: her husband, Glen Jackson of Centerville; sons, Stephen Jackson and friend, Peg of Centerville, Dennis Jackson and his wife, Donna of Centerville and Scott Jackson and his wife, Kelly of Centerville; seven grandchildren, Eric, Justin, and Shannon Jackson all of Centerville, Tony Jackson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bethany, Brent and Bailey Jackson all of Centerville; and three great grandsons; a special niece, Monica Blizek of Centerville; along with many nephews and other nieces.
Private funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with the Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Cincinnati. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013 from 2-7 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to HCI Care Services and may be left or mailed to the funeral home. The Schmidt Family Funeral Home of Centerville, Iowa have been entrusted with the services for the Jackson family and condolences can be sent at: schmidtfamilyfuneralhome.com .
