Robert F. Polson, 86, of Centerville, died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville.
He was born the son of Earl F. and Floss (Forsythe) Polson on Jan. 16, 1927 in Des Moines. He graduated from the Lincoln High School in Des Moines.
On Jan. 4, 1945, Robert entered the United States Navy and served his country faithfully until his honorable discharge on Aug. 3, 1946. He was first united in marriage to Phyllis See in Des Moines and later on July 27, 2007, was united in marriage to Donna Harris in Centerville. He worked for more than 30 years as a printer for the Burroughs Company in City Of Industry, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Polson on April 27, 2008; and a sister, Frances Nelson.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Debbie Peabody and her husband, Leeland of Bella Vista, Ark.; and a son, Clifford Earl Polson of Bella Vista, Ark.; also a sister, Erlyne Crossman of California; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time and burial of his ashes will take place at a later date at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gravette, Ark.
