POWERSVILLE, Mo. — Jay Lee Ross, 73, of Powersville, Mo. passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at Wayne County Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at the Lucerne Cemetery in Lucerne, Mo. on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held today from 5-7 p.m. at the Playle and Jones Family Funeral Home in Unionville, Mo.

This week the Iowegian wants readers to think about President Barack Obama. Since Barack Obama was elected president, two significant things have occurred: The military repealed the "Dont' Ask, Don't Tell" policy allowing gays and lesbians to openly serve and just recently he publicly said he supports gay marriage. For some, these actions signal a shift away from God, morality and threatens national security.
