Joey Lee Selvy, 41, of Moulton passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008.
Joey was born on July 12, 1966 to Lowell and Meredith (Hurley) Selvy. He attended Moulton and Centerville Schools. Joey married Amy Callen on July 4, 2004.
Joey owned the Albia Home Center in Albia. He was a Mason and a member of the Astor Lodge #505 in Albia. He was also a member of the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine in Altoona. He enjoyed collecting bottles, coins, marbles, rock hunting, arrowhead hunting, playing pool and riding his motorcycle.
Joey is survived by his wife Amy of Moulton; three daughters, Sheena Ramsey of Unionville, Mo., Katie Selvy of Moulton and Sky Selvy of Moulton; mother, Meredith Selvy of Creston, Iowa; two brothers, Chris Selvy (Jessica) of Mt. Ayr and Jason Selvy (Bridgett) of Burlington; brother-in-law Craig Callen (Tess) of Moulton; sister-in-law, Michele Stevens (Dale) of Des Moines; mother and father-in-law, Linda and Bill Callen of Moulton; aunt, Jeneene Hurley of Unionville, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Joey was preceded in death by his father Lowell Selvy, two uncles; Robert Selvy and Steve Hurley, grandparents; Lowell and Garnet Hurley and Dewey and Nellie Selvy.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday at the Moulton Christian Church with Pastor Reg Higginbottom officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thomas Funeral Home, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset View Cemetery near Moulton.
