Willie Doyle Elliott, age 68, of Centerville, Iowa, went home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, February 11, 2008 at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
He was born the son of Peter J. and Maud Tina (Genson) Elliott on December 22, 1939 in Longview, Texas. He received his education in California.
Willie was united in marriage to Patricia Dillon. They were later divorced. He worked for a time at Kaiser Steel in Maywood, California and also worked along side his brother in the appliance repair business. Later, he worked for the Ford Motor Company at La Mirada, California in the pre-delivery department. Willie loved fishing, hunting, cooking and being with his family and friends. He had many talents, but especially enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles. His lifelong hobby was repairing all things broken or not working.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Jack, Sarion and Clarence Elliott; sisters, Margaret Pierpont, Christina Hyde and Kate May Elliott.
Willie is survived by: his daughters, Cindy Renee' Carrillo and her husband, Craig, and Ann Louise Gould and her husband, Dan, all of Temecula, California; step-son, Michael Bradley and his wife, Elizabeth of Centerville, Iowa; sister, Nettie Blosser and her husband, Billy Allen of Spokane Valley, Washington; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and 18 step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 14, at 10 a.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Holly Oden officiating. Burial will be held at the Downey Cemetery in Downey, California.
