CENTERVILLE —
Danny Zaputil, 81 of Centerville, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospital in Oskaloosa.
Danny was born June 1, 1931 in Centerville, the son of George and Draga (Kozaleski) Zaputil. He graduated from Centerville High School and worked construction in Des Moines most of his life. George loved going to Centerville High School sporting events and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Centerville.
He is survived by four children Lisa Lusty of Chesapeake, Va., John Lusty of Orange, Calif., Jennifer Massey of Chesapeake, Va., Angie (Mark) Gorsuch, Chesapeake, Va; a brother Steve Zaputil of Auburn, Calif.; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Tony Zaputil.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at St. Marys Catholic Church, Centerville with Fr. Bill Hubmann officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening, Oct. 15, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Centerville. A memorial has been established to St. Marys Catholic Church and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com.
