CINCINNATI —
Anne Marie Buban, 97, of Cincinnati, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Centerville Nursing and Rehab Center in Centerville.
She was born the daughter of Anton and Louise Starcevich on July 13, 1915 in Jerome. She attended the Jerome High School.
On June 27, 1936, Anne was united in marriage to George Albert Buban in Centerville. She and her husband lived on a farm near Cincinnati, where they farmed together and raised Purebred Polled Hereford cattle. She was also known as a very good seamstress and her cooking. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; husband, George A. Buban on Sept. 7, 1994; her brothers, Paul Matthew Starcevich, Frank John Starcevich and Vance Starcevich; and sisters, Mary Pauline Zemo and Marie Kathryn Risher.
Anne is survived by: her sisters, Helen Sacco of Centerville and Louise Frances "Pep" Thomas of Washington, Ill., along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service were held Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 1 p.m. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville with Fr. Bill Hubmann officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation was held one hour before services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church and left or mailed to the funeral home.
