CENTERVILLE —
Terri Lynn Novotny, 51, of Centerville, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Terri was born March 1, 1961 to James "Larry" and Joanne (Richards) Willis in Centerville. She received her education from Centerville High School graduating in 1979. Terri was a waitress and later became a cook at George and Nick's where she was employed 28 years. Terri liked unicorns, enjoyed reading, taking trips to Cedar Rapids to visit her son and daughter-in-law and time spent with her granddaughter Kaden.
Terri is survived by her two children; Mindy Hull (Chester) of Centerville and Cody Novotny (Darcy) of Cedar Rapids; granddaughter, Kaden Hull of Centerville; and a brother, James Willis of Kirksville, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karel Todd; and a sister-in-law, Sherry Willis.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 at Thomas Funeral Home with Terry Thomas officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to establish the Kaden Hull Collegiate Fund which may be left at or mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, 23548 Highway 5, P.O. Box 125, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
