Both before and after her retirement, Deloris was very active in the local community, her church and numerous clubs that she belonged to. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sons, Gerald and Dennis, making visits to each of them, in later years, at their homes in Arizona and Massachusetts, respectively. Some of Deloris’s interest included reading, cooking, sewing, gardening, traveling, current events and most important, visiting with her friends and family. She treasured the time she spent with her sisters, Esther and June. Deloris was a regular visitor to and proponent of the Exline community, especially the Exline Old Country Store. In 2006, she was named the grand champion of the annual Exline pie-baking contest, for her submission of a chocolate pie. Deloris loved life and lived life to the fullest.
