Scott Kelso

CENTERVILLE — Scott Kelso, 54, of West Des Moines, formerly of Centerville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011 at his home.

 He was born March 21, 1957 at Guthrie, Okla., the son of Ira F. Kelso and Marge M Brewer Kelso.  He married Susan I Kelso April 11, 1975 at Kremlin, Okla. He worked for Oklahoma Steel & Wire, Iowa Steel & Wire and NPI Security.  He loved to hunt, fish, play golf and refurbish old furniture.

He is survived by his wife Susan, sons Joey Kelso, Justin Kelso and a daughter Tori Kelso, four grandchildren Alexander, Jade, Jessica, Armando, three brothers Roger, Gary and Marty Kelso.  He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Wayne Brewer and step brother Leon Brewer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at the West Des Moines Church of Christ Disciples of Christ with Pastor Randy Earhart officiating.  Visitation will from 1:30  p.m. until service time. A memorial has been established to the Scott Kelso Memorial Fund and may be mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.  Condolences may be left at www.langefh.com.
