The Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Iowa Chapter, is offering a comprehensive free educational program for the south central Iowa region on Thursday, Feb 28, from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Ottumwa Public Library, 102 Fourth St. All individuals in the area are invited to attend.
The event will begin with the 10 Warning Signs Alzheimer’s disease from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a more in-depth look at how to care for people with Alzheimer’s and related diseases, particularly those in middle stages, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., and will conclude with a Q&A open forum, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This comprehensive program is suitable to anyone caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or related diseases, or for anyone interested in a foundational understanding of these illnesses. Those interested may attend any or all of the 3 sessions. Classes will be taught by Alzheimer’s Association professional, Jerry Schroeder.
