Caregiver Renewal Conference to be held

Caregivers, are you tired of the cold? Are you tired of scraping your car windows and shoveling snow? Diagnosis: Spring Fever. Treatment: the 2010 Spring Renewal Caregiver Conference. This conference is scheduled for April 8 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and will be held at Ottumwa’s Good Samaritan Society — Timber Ridge located at No. 2 Oak Ridge Road. The registration deadline is March 31.

This is a Caregiver’s day out! A much deserved break to get refueled! Our special speakers include a representative from The Joy of Music organization in Washington, Iowa, talking about music therapy. Seneca’s William Canaday will be sharing about preparing for retirement and saving money on Medicare payments. Lynelle Diers from Wapello County Public Health will be focusing on the importance of adult immunizations. We will close the day with some healing laughter with Dizzy the Clown with her presentation called Merry Heart Medicine.

Don’t miss out on this special day! There will be door prizes, games, and a BBQ lunch. Register by calling Noelle Bales, Seneca’s Information and Assistance and Family Caregiver Specialist at (641) 682-2270 or (800) 642-6522.
