CENTERVILLE —
Seneca is offering Better Choices/Better Health, an evidenced-based program that helps older adults ages 55 and older manage the symptoms of ongoing health problems, such as, arthritis, heart, stroke, lung and diabetes.
The workshop series will be held for two hours twice a week for three weeks. Location will be at 18-80 Club, Senior Center 922 W. State St. in Centerville.
Sessions will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12-2 p.m. from Sept. 25 to Oct. 11.
Class contributions accepted. The sessions are taught by trained-peer leaders of Seneca nutritional staff. This program creates an environment of mutual support, which builds the participants confidence in their ability to manage their health and lead active lives.
Workshops include:
•Problem-solving, medications, work with health care system
•Depression, better breathing, action plan, pain and many others topics.
