CENTERVILLE — Susan Broshar began her career just one week after graduating high school June 6, 1966 as a billing clerk at Iowa Southern Utilities. She was promoted to a billing supervisor in 1976. During the IES merger of 1993, Susan assisted with the conversion of the Iowa Southern accounts to the Iowa Electric billing system. She helped start the IES Customer Service Center, located in Centerville, in 1994, staying as a supervisor there through the present day company of Alliant Energy. She will be retiring on July 16, 2010, after 44 years of service to the company.
