Christmas dinner in Exline tomorrow night
We were lucky that we did not receive any snow from the snowfall that hit northern Iowa and Minnesota over last weekend. We do need the moisture though. I know a lot of people are hoping we will get some snow in time for Christmas, to complete the effect of a white Christmas.

Unionville bell tower back in action
Unionville, Iowa’s bell is ringing again. On a very cold, windy night, Sunday Dec. 9, the bell was restored and now rededicated. The bell tower is more than 23 feet high with the cross at the top and is lighted. It is much bigger and taller than it is pictured. I would encourage you to go see it. The bell has a good sound, pure and true.

The 2012 winter concert of the fifth and sixth grade bands were held Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Simon Estes Auditorium in Centerville.
