Wayne County

Jan. 18

Corydon police investigated a property damage accident at East Anthony and North Johnson streets in Corydon. A 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Tamara Nicole Hackney, 20, of Corydon, and a 1998 Dodge Ram driven by Levi Benjamin Wallace, 23, of Corydon, collided at the snow packed intersection. Damage was estimate at $3,000 to Hackney's car and at $1,000 to Wallace's truck.



Corydon police investigated a one-car accident on South Johnson Street in Corydon. A 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by Britini Mae McCarty, 17, of Corydon, was north bound on South Johnson Street when the vehicle veered to the right on the snow-packed street and struck a utility pole. Damage to McCarty's car was estimated at $3,000. Damage to the pole owned by Alliant Energy was listed at $1,000.



Jan. 19

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one-car accident on North Eaton Avenue in Humeston. A 1995 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Robert Lisle Drake, 22, of Humeston, was traveling along the 300 block of North Eaton Avenue when it struck a utility pole. Damage to Drake’s car was estimated at $4,500. Damage to the pole owned by Alliant Energy was listed at $1,500.
