July 28

11:05 a.m.
Kelsey Lynn Pasa, 23, of Fairfax, was driving a 2003 Pontiac eastbound on Highway J5T wen a deer ran into the road and was struck. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500.

July 30

7:01 p.m.
Ashley Kay Armstrong, 27, of Centerville, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet west on Highway J5T in the 17000 block when a deer ran into her lane of traffic. The vehicle struck the deer with the right front of her vehicle. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Aug. 1

11:16 a.m.
George Brian Hopkins, 51, of Floris, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet eastbound on Highway J3T when two horses owned by Jesse James Smith of Bloomfield, ran across the road and one was struck. Damage to Hopkins’ vehicle was estimated at $3,500.

2:34 p.m. Sheila Louise Rouse-Reeder, 48, of Centerville, was driving a 1991 Dodge eastbound on Highway 5 when the driver loast control while adjusting the air conditioning. The vehicle went into a ditch a struck a tree. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $100. Rouse-Reeder was transported to Mercy Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. Rouse-Reeder was charged with failure to maintain control, failure to prove security against accident and operating without registration.

Aug. 3

12:29 p.m.
Derrick Eugene Duffey, 29, of Centerville, had his parole/probation revoked at the Law Center.

7:46 p.m. Robert Charles Brown, 34, of Cedar Rapids, was charged at the Law Center with fourth degree theft. He was later released on order of the court.

Aug. 4

11:18 a.m. Joy Lynn Korthuis, 51, of Centervile, was driving a 1997 GMC on Highway 5 and was stopped behind two cars, the front of which was waiting to turn left into WalMart, when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2004 Pontiac driven by Jill Elaine Acheson, 21, of Mystic. Damage to Acheson’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Acheson was charged with failure to maintain control.

Aug. 5

12:21 a.m.
A 17-year-old make juvenile was charged at Highway J29 and East Highway J5T with possession of alcohol under age.

4:02 a.m. Lucas Jon Stajcar, was charged at 450th Street and Islandview with OWI, second offense and driving with a suspended license. He was later released on a promise to appear.
