CENTERVILLE —
On Tuesday, Nov. 27, the Wayne County Sheriff's office arrested Roy Leonard Wilcox Jr., 44 and Sidney Louis Marsh, 49, both of Corydon, after the execution of a search warrant at their residence located at 202 W. Anthony St.
During the execution of the search warrant law enforcement located items consistent with the illegal sale of marijuana, to include but not limited to, a large quantity of marijuana, packaging material, United States currency, methamphetamine, prescription medication, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and firearms.
Wilcox and Marsh were each charged with possession with the intent to deliver a schedule I controlled substance, marijuana, while in possession or control of a firearm and within 1,000 feet of a public school, a class D felony, failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a class D felony, ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony and possession of drug paraphenalia, a simple misdemeanor. Additionally, Wilcox was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance, methamphetamine, possession of a schedule III controlled substance, hydrocodone and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, zolpidem, each being aggravated misdemeanors.
Wilcox and Marsh are each being held at the Wayne County Jail in lieu of bond.
Assisting the Wayne County Sheriff's office in this investigation were the South Central Iowa Drug Task Force, Corydon Police Department and Wayne County Attorney's office.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
