3:05 p.m. Ronnie Dean Coffman, 60, of Moravia, was driving a 1998 Jeep north on Highway 5 at the same time as a 2000 Buick was being driven north on Highway 5 by Amanda Michelle Preston, 24, of Blakesburg. Coffman’s vehicle braked for a vehicle turning into a private drive. His vehicle was struck in the rear by Preston’s vehicle. Preston stated she saw Coffman’s vehicle brake and pushed her brake to the floor but the vehicle failed to stop. Damage to Coffman’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500. Damage to Preston’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500. Preston was listed at possibly injured.
