9:46 p.m. Elaine Renee Rogers, 48, of Unionville, Iowa, was driving a 1990 Chevrolet Corsica westbound in the 26900 block of 405th Street when her vehicle struck a sorrel horse in the roadway. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000. The horse, valued at $500 and belonging to Douglas Eugene Demoss, of Moravia, had to be put down.

4:21 p.m. Elizabeth Ann Garr, 19, of Unionville, Mo., was driving a 2002 Buick Century southbound on Highway 5 when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the right entering a ditch and colliding with an embankment which sent the vehicle airborne for approximately 50 yards landing on its rear driver’s side and then rolled over and came to rest on the driver’s side. The vehicle did catch fire for a short time during the collision. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Garr was transported to Mercy Medical Center with incapacitating injuries.

8:18 p.m. Kimberly Marie Cowan, 39, of Plano, was charged in the 1000 block of Highway S70 with two counts of failure to appear, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of a no contact order, manufacture/delivery/po-ssession with intent/ conspiracy and driving while barred.
10:55 p.m. Christopher Craig Keyes, 54, of Plano, was charged in the 1000 block of Highway S70 with violation of a no contact order and making a false report to law enforcement. He was later released on his own recognizance.
