Civil papers processed, 5; thefts and burglaries, 1; controlled burns and fires, 1; traffic stops, 2; litter complaints, 1; OWI, 1; animal complaints, 2; disturbances, 1; sex offender checks, 1; accidents, property, damages, 1; contacts, 23; total miles patrolled, 259; inmates booked into jail, 4; jail population. 19.

Feb. 2

7:19 p.m. Steven Edward Stickler Jr., 21, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with forgery.

Feb. 3

3:43 a.m. Abbie Rachael Kepner, 20, of Cincinnati, was charged at Main and West Short with drunken driving, first offense.

Since Barack Obama was elected president, two significant things have occurred: The military repealed the "Dont' Ask, Don't Tell" policy allowing gays and lesbians to openly serve and just recently he publicly said he supports gay marriage. For some, these actions signal a shift away from God, morality and threatens national security. Others say it's about time people in same-sex relationships can wed and openly gay service members do not threaten national security.
