May 21
4:07 p.m. An accident was reported on 310th Avenue. A 2000 Chevy driven by Kevin Micheal Boylson, 17, of Centerville was northbound on 310th Avenue when a deer entered the road. Boylson swerved to miss the deer, lost control, entered the ditch, struck a fence and came to rest in a farm pond. Damage to the fence, owned by Phyllis Cosby of Moulton, was estimated at $200. Damage to Boylson’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Boylson was cited for failure to maintain control.

1:40 a.m. Blake Austin Smith, 20, of Moravia was charged at the intersection of Milwaukee and North Trussell with possession of alcohol underage.
3:06 a.m. David Burgin Probasco, 24, of Coatsville, Mo., was charged at 32240 610th St. with simple domestic assault.
8:36 p.m. An accident was reported on North Brandon Avenue in Moravia. A 1999 Oldsmobile driven by Phyllis Elaine Henderson, 66, of Moravia was northbound on North Brandon Avenue when a deer entered the road and struck the vehicle on the front driver’s side. Damage to Henderson’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
11:38 p.m. James Edward Greer, Jr., 39, of Ottumwa was charged at Boyer Ridge Road and J5T with OWI, first offense.
May 24
10:55 p.m. Cameron James Crow, 22, of Numa was charged at 216 Park St. W with simple domestic assault. He was later released on order of the court.
May 25
9:34 p.m. An accident was reported on Highway J18. A 2005 Kia driven by Cary Patrick Kosman, 31, of Moravia was eastbound on Highway J18 when a deer entered the road. Kosman struck the deer. Damage to Kosman’s vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
