Sept. 18
Virginia Neely, of Corydon, reported to police that someone had taken a decorative ornament valued at $500 from her son's grave site at the Corydon Cemetery.
Corydon police investigated a property damage accident in the parking lot at the Wayne Community High School. A 1994 Accura Legend driven by Alec Steven Robinson, 17, of Corydon, was pulling into a parking spot when it struck the open door of a parked 1999 Ford Escort owned by Lisa Holt, of Allerton. Damage to Robinson's car was estimated at $800 and to Holt's at $500.
Sept. 19
Corydon police investigated a property damage accident in an alley off of South Franklin Street in Corydon. A 2009 Ford F250 driven by Ronald Doyle Parham, 41, of Corydon, and a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Tiffany Marie Van Laar, 20, of Corydon, collided as they were backing from parking spots. Damage to the truck owned by Grand River Mutual Telephone Company was estimated at $700 and to Van Laar's car at $1,200.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office investigated a property damage accident at S40 and Idaho Road. A 2004 Chevrolet pickup driven by Clifford Owen Beck, 68, of Vancouver, Wash., was eastbound on Idaho Road when it attempted to turn north onto S40, lost control and rolled onto its side. Damage to the truck was estimated at $5,000. Beck was issued a citation for failure to maintain control.
