Dec. 4

1:35 p.m. An accident was reported at the junction of Highway 2 and Highway T14. Martha Jane Sheston, 71, of Centerville was driving a 2000 Buick westbound on Highway 2 and had slowed to turn left onto Highway T14. Rick Eugene Kumer, 32, of Centerville was also westbound on Highway 2, three vehicles behind Sheston’s vehicle. Kumer attempted to pass and locked up his vehicles brakes when he realized there was a vehicle making a left turn. Kumer’s vehicle ran into the back of Sheston’s vehicle. Damage to Kumer’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000. Damage to Sheston’s vehicle was estimated at $5,000. Sheston was listed as possibly injured. Kumer was charged with unsafe passing and failure to prove security against liability.

10:49 p.m. Marvin Todd Lawson, 29, of Centerville, was charged at 25299 195th Ave. on two out of county warrants.

Dec. 5

12:11 a.m. Douglas Eugene Hart, 52, of Centerville, was charged at 20359 495th St. with OWI, first offense. He was later released on his own recognizance.
