Jan. 13

3:56 p.m.
Jaimie Michelle Conger, 34, of Centerville, was charged at the Law Center with manufacture/conspir-acy/delivey/possession with intent. She was later released on order of the court.

Jan. 14

6:30 p.m.
Kelli Renee McKinley, 38, of Palo, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet west in the 16000 block of Highway 2 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Damage to McKinley’s vehicle was estimate at $2,000.

7:10 p.m. Samanda Jo Parham, 19, of Centerville, was driving a 2002 Saturn east in the 16000 block of Highway 2 when the vehicle struck a deer that had just been struck by a vehicle traveling west in the 16000 block of Highway 2. Damage to Parham’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

2:36 a.m.
Michael Jeremy Sedgwick, 36, of Centerville, was charged at 18th Street and East Wilson Street with OWI, first offense. He was later released on his own recognizance.

5:43 p.m. Anne Marie Griswold, 71, of Unionville, Mo., was driving a 1999 Buick south on Highway 5 when a deer entered the roadway and was struck. Damage to Griswold’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

6:33 p.m.
Brenda Crystal Saric, 32, of Pelican Rapids, Minn., was driving a 1990 Chevrolet west on Highway 2 when two deer entered the roadway and were struck. Damage to Saric’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Rebecca Maranda Cossolotto, 20, of Centerville, following a traffic stop on Highway 2 near S40. Cossolotto was charged with driving while revoked and failure to have SR22 insurance. Cossolotto appeared before the magistrate the following day and was released after posting bond.

Jan. 7

Bill Morgan, of Bussey, reported that a 1995 Polaris Sportsmen ATV from his property in Clay Township was missing. The ATV was valued at $3,000.

Jan. 16

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Clyde Emery Surber, III, 45, of Seymour, following an incident on West Main Street in Promise City. Surber was charge with third offense operating while intoxicated, driving while revoked, false imprisonment, third degree harassment and reckless driving. Surber appeared before the magistrate the following day and was released after posting $6,000 bond.

Since Barack Obama was elected president, two significant things have occurred: The military repealed the "Dont' Ask, Don't Tell" policy allowing gays and lesbians to openly serve and just recently he publicly said he supports gay marriage.
