Feb. 4
Corydon Police arrested Jennifer Lynn Fain, 39, of Corydon, after she was accused of taking prescription medication that was not prescribed to her. Fain was charged with illegal possession of a prescription drug and fifth degree theft. Fain appeared before the magistrate the following day and was held in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bond.
Feb. 8
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office investigated a car-deer accident approximately three miles north of Corydon. A 2008 Nissan driven by Becky Sue Hysell, 53, of Allerton, was southbound on Highway 14 when two deer ran onto the roadway. Damage to the car driven by Hysell and owned by South Central Iowa Community Action Program, of Chariton, was estimated at $2,000.
Feb. 9
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested James Leo Lewis, II, 26, of Seymour, for violating a no contact order. Lewis appeared before the magistrate the following day and was released on his own recognizance.
