Free Movie Night
Everyone is invited to the Family Movie Night at First Presbyterian Church this Saturday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. We're showing the movie "Up," an animated comedy adventure about a 78-year-old man who ties balloons to his house and flies away, with an 8-year-old stowaway. Free popcorn and pop. First Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Main and Maple, 102 N. Main St.
Card Ministry
First Presbyterian Church has added a “Card Ministry” to their Web site. If you know of someone who could use a card, you can request that a paper greeting card be sent to them through the mail. Cards are available for any occasion, sympathy, birthday, new baby, thinking of you, etc.
Go to www.centerville presbyterian.org and click on “Card Ministry.” At First Presbyterian Church, we have been blessed to know how much God loves us and we’re surrounded by people who care for us. We hope through this ministry, more people will experience that love and care.
Open Door Service
Everyone is invited to attend a new contemporary church service at the First United Methodist Church at 410 N. Main in Centerville led by Pastor Terra Amundson on Wednesday nights. The evening begins with a light supper at 5:15 p.m. served in the Fellowship Hall. The Open Door service begins at 6 p.m. featuring contemporary music and a message.
This evening service is for families or individuals who can't attend a Sunday service or for those who prefer a more informal structure. It can be a helpful inspirational oasis in the middle of a busy week and a “pick-me-up” between the regularly scheduled Sunday morning services. Everyone is welcome. For more information, call the church office at (641) 856-3213.
Are You a Woman Looking for Answers?
If so, you are warmly invited to Stonecroft Friendship Bible Study, a non-denominational gathering of women to study God’s word and how it impacts our lives in today’s world. For more information call Mary at (641) 856-5313.
The House of Prayer
Everyone is invited to attend worship services at the House of Prayer at 15th Street and Terry in Centerville where Jesus still does what he always did.
Sunday morning worship is at 10 a.m., Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. and Wednesday evenings at 6 p.m.
