CENTERVILLE — The Iowa High School Athletic Association has released their boys basketball district tournament and subtate tournament brackets for all classes.

Below are the brackets involving teams in the Iowegian's coverage area.

Centerville will begin their district tournament hosting Fairfield. Should they advance, the Big Reds will play the winner of the Chariton/Oskaloosa game at either Chariton or Oskaloosa. The substate tournament for Substate 6 will be held in Ottumwa.

Seymour will open their playoff journey playing Melcher-Dallas at Melcher-Dallas. The winner of that game will travel to Corydon to play Wayne.

Moravia will travel to Bussey to play Twin Cedars. The winner of that game will travel to Moulton-Udell.

Fifteen area athletes qualify for state track meet
There will be several area athletes competing at the 2012 Iowa High School State Track Meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines this weekend. A total of 15 individual athletes between Moravia, Seymour and Centerville will compete in 13 events.
