Moravia looks to overcome loss of eight seniors

MORAVIA — Depth on the line and new players at most skilled positions will create what will be a challenging season for the Moravia Mohawks, as they attempt to make it through to post-season play for the fourth straight year.

"We have a lot of new players stepping in to play varsity, but they know and understand our system," Moravia head football coach Denny Whitlow said. "If we can stay healthy and continue to work hard we feel we can fight for a play-off spot again this year."

Seniors Dylan Conley (OL/DL), Donavan Beaty (DL), Jon Eastlick (TE) and Spenser Stufflebeem (DB) outline the returning players for this season.

The Mohawks will also rely on junior Seth Gray (WR) and sophomores Gunnar Miller (FB/LB), Scott Close (OL/LB) and Tyler Knapp (QB/DB) heavily this season.

Moravia opens the season in Farmington on Aug. 24 against Afton. They will play H-L-V, Victor in their home opener on Aug. 31.
