After a tough come back the Lady Eagles weren’t able to get control of the final game in a five-match series on Thursday night when the Moulton-Udell team played host to the Seymour Warriorettes.

The Lady Eagles were down two games and were forced to fight back. In games three and four that is just what they did. “We found ourselves in an early hole down 2-0. I’m happy with how we played in games three and four, but we were flat in the other ones. I know that we have to continue to work on our serves and serve receive,” said coach Jason Ogden. The Lady Eagles were up four points early in the fifth game but weren’t able to finalize the comeback.

The M-U girls were led by Sharena Kaster in serving who was perfect from the line with 26 serves and six aces. Kaster also had nine assists to lead the team.

Lindsey Houghtlen was also perfect from the line with 21 serves and two aces. Houghtlen led the team in digs with 10.

Shayla Weston had two blocks and was 13 of 16 in attacks with five kills while Mackenzie Clark was 24 of 30 in attacks with seven kills.

The Lady Eagles will host Mormon Trail tonight at 6 p.m.
