CENTERVILLE —
It's becoming a habit for the Howar Junior High seventh grade basketball team to keep their fans and coach on the edge of their seats up until the end.
The boys have finished their last two games in overtime proving they have what it takes to compete.
They defeated Davis County 35-33 and then Oskaloosa 33-27 both in overtime earlier this month.
In the game against Davis County Brett Kauzlarich racked up 22 points followed by Braden Lechtenberg with 10.
Against Oskaloosa Kauzlarich again led the team with 21 points while Hunter Maddy had 10 points.
The Howar Reds have one home game left it comes up at the end of the season against Albia and that is the only team that has been able to beat them so far this season. "It will be a good game. I'm very proud of these boys playing so hard every game and winning three games in overtime," said Coach Alan Huisman.
